Day 1
We head north over the scenic du Toits Kloof Pass through Worcester
and up into the Great Karoo – famous for its lamb –
to the historic town of Matjiesfontein. The landscape, vegetation
and especially the geology in this area will captivate you today!
Millions of years ago this area was a marshland today a semi desert!
Enjoy lunch and hospitality on a farm before traveling on through
seven weeks pass where you are guaranteed to run out of film! We
head onto Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn –the ostrich capital of
the world where you will overnight.
Day 2
A visit to another of our natural wonders the Cango Caves and an
Ostrich Farm before heading southwards over the Outeniekwa mountains
to George and the beautiful Garden Route area. We travel through
The Wilderness, The Lake Districts through Knysna as far as Plettenberg
Bay before heading back to Knysna. Overnight in Knysna.
Day 3
We depart Knysna and head for Mossel Bay to visit the Diaz Museum
and then onto and through the towns of Albertinia, Riversdale, Heidelberg
to have lunch in Swellenbam. Time permitting we will return to Cape
Town via Hermanus and the coastal road to arrive latish.
