Day 1
We head north over the scenic du Toits Kloof Pass through Worcester
and up into the Great Karoo – famous for its lamb –
to the historic town of Matjiesfontein. The landscape, vegetation
and especially the geology in this area will captivate you today!
Millions of years ago this area was a marshland – today a
semi desert! Enjoy lunch and hospitality on a farm before going
on through seven weeks pass where you are guaranteed to run out
of film! We head onto Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn –the ostrich
capital of the world where you will overnight.
Day 2
A visit to another of our natural wonders the Cango Caves and an
Ostrich Farm before heading southwards over the Outeniekw mountains
to George and the beautiful Garden Route area. Visit the Knysna
Heads. Overnight in Knysna or Plettenberg Bay.
Day 3
We head make our way to Tsitsikamma Nature reserve for spectacular
seascapes and a walk to the foot bridge before driving through to
Port Elizabeth or Addo Elephant Park to overnight.
Day 4
Early morning start we head off to The Addo Elephant Park for the
morning and do a “ Safari” in the afternoon going into
the evening with dinner included at Schotia Private Game Reserve
We return to the same over night stop in Port Elizabeth or Addo.
Day 5
We return to Knysna or Plettenberg Bay to overnight.
Day 6
A visit to the Diaz museum in Mossel Bay before heading to Swellendam
for lunch and down to the little fishing village of Arniston for
the night.
Day 7
Today we visit the Tip of Africa – Agulhas - and onto Hermanus
(whale watching June to November) via the very beautiful coastal
road to Kleinmond and Gordans Bay to Cape Town.
